Are you afraid of your id? Do you fear that if not kept in check what is going on in your head could harm or kill you? As far as lucidity in dreaming... I do it quite a bit. For me its like a VCR... I fastforward through the parts I don't like... Rewind to redo things I didn't like the outcome of. And replay in order to chainge my reactions in oerder to change the outcome.
