Man, I can’t say how great it is to finally get my hands on some studio equipment to expand my knowledge and skills in the photography arena. Not to mention being a great tool for really expressing some of the ideas that have been going through my head once I figure out more and more different lighting techniques, and then at a point, really start getting creative and coming up with my own inique lighting styles.
The bad thing is that it REALLY let me know just how cramped for space I am in my apartment. I’m either going to have to do some serious re-arranging, or get a townhouse apartment so that I can have more room to flex my photo muscles. Right now, I just used a portion of my bedroom, but I don’t really see that lasting for too long. The good thing is that a lot of the stuff I’ll be doing will be at different locations, so I’ll can deal with that. But for once, I really wish I didn’t have as much furniture and stuff that I have now. Slight possibility that I might make my office go bye bye and turn my second bedroom into a little minature studio room. But even that won’t be big enough, so I think I’ll just be patient and work with what I have.
There are some of you that I promised to do some studio work for once I got my lights in. It’ll probably be a month before I start doing some serious shooting. Until then, I’ll be just practicing, experimenting, and trying out different techniques so that I can make sure that I’ve really come to know my equipment and what it’s capable of. Besides, that stuff is like a newborn to me at the moment. Can’t take the new babies out into the world until they’re ready haha.
Well, anywayz, here is another one of my test shots. Had to shave the head and clean up a bit haha. More to come within the next few days
