Had a pretty busy Saturday this weekend, which was pretty good.  The only downside was the pain that I’m now feeling in my legs from hauling 2 cameras and 4 lenses for over 8 hours.  Doesn’t weigh much when you first pick them up, but after a few hours, it all starts to kick in.   The pain itself you don’t notice until after you unload the weight.  Funny how that happens.

The event in question was a party that’s hosted by my company that happens every year.  In an estimated guess, between the two camera’s there are around 600 pictures to sort through, color correct, decide if they are good shots, etc.. before finally converting the format from raw and uploading to my photography site.  So yea, it’s going to be a pretty busy week as I get all of that done.  Especially considering that there’s going to be another event that I’ll be shooting the next weekend in which I’ll most likely be taking even more shots.

I made a slight miscalculation on the budget for the lighting equipment, so even though I wasn’t able to get it this week, at least I’m on track for next month.  Which is good because that still gives me time to have the lighting equipment in place before the weddings that I have scheduled.  That’s what happens when you miscalculate the weeks that you get paid haha.

One of the other good things is that fall is finally upon us, which is typically the season for family portraits and youth football, so I’ll try and get things going in those areas as well, but mainly with an emphasis for ramping things up for the 2008 year.  Not to mention that there should be some great shots with fall colors to take, so I’ll have to take advantage of that as well.

To some of my friends and family out there, I know that I’ve been a bit hard to get a hold of lately, but bear with me.  Between trying to get things done relating to my chiropractor appointments, work, religion, photography, stuff to finish relating to dad’s death, and sleep, it’s a bit hard for me to find time for some of the other things.  Not to mention that I need to make some improvement to my time management skills.   So my apologies if it seems that I not be in touch that much or ignoring you.  I assure you, that’s not the case.

So anyway, I gotz to run, but I’ll post some shots from the company party if I have time.   Perhaps I’ll post the Spangler blackmail shot haha.
